Music, dance and folk art in the whole weekend! The National Dance House Festival and Craft Fair is back! On 6th and 7th April, the world is about folk art at the Papp László Budapest Sportarena:
Artisans and their artworks from different parts of Hungary and beyond the borders, a colourful array of beautiful traditional costumes, utility objects, weavings, different textiles and other handicraft products will flood the Arena. The Association of Hungarian Folk Artists guarantees value: only verified, juried products will be on the counters. It's impossible to list the wonders you'll find here!
And it's not just folk art that will be on show, but also exciting and innovative products. See how today's young artists are reinterpreting traditional forms, materials and patterns!
Adult and children's play areas, playhouses, special educational games and craft workshops invite those who want to experience the thrill of creating in community. Children will have the opportunity to learn about the different landscapes and crafts, as well as to play memory and logic games. Furthermore, there will also be the opportunity to make small objects using traditional craft techniques.
Folk dance groups from Hungary and nationalities, from countries beyond the borders, amateur and professional performers, children's and adult folk dance groups, music schools, folk traditions, dance lessons, folk pub are waiting for the visitors.
