Textile Symposium 2024

Many of our best teachers and speakers are gathered in Skien this week in October, when the Norwegian Folk Art and Craft Association invites to a Textile Symposium with the theme "Red list - our textile cultural heritage".

Here you can experiance exhibitions, classes, lectures and debates. From Wednesday 9. of October you can take part in three day expert classes for participants who really want to go in depth in their topic. On Thursday and Friday we have shorter classes, before the opening party and exhibition at the Telemark Museum.

The main event takes place on the weekend of 12 and 13 October, with a symposium at the "Ibsen house" with lectures and debates, and many other activities in the area.
