Sereglés 2025 – The Celebration of Hungarian Folk Art
On September 20, 2025, tens of thousands of Hungarian folk musicians, dancers, and artisans will gather to celebrate the living heritage of the Carpathian Basin. Across nearly 300 venues, audiences can experience the vibrant world of folk art, with countless performances and programs.
The central venue of the festival will be in Buda Castle, at Szentháromság Square, Budapest.
The Csoóri Sándor Program was founded in 2017 to strengthen communities dedicated to Hungarian and minority folk traditions (folk dance, fol music, folk art) at home and abroad – Sereglés 2025 highlights both the program’s achievements and the enduring vitality of folk culture.
This unique celebration shows that folk art is not only our heritage but also a living, pulsating community experience that connects generations.
Main organizer: Népművészeti Egyesületek Szövetsége
Partners: Hungarian Heritage House, Muharay Elemér Folk Art Association, Children’s Folk Art Association “Örökség”, Táncház Association, Vass Lajos Folk Music Association
